About the Artist
Born in 1969 in Mumbai, India, and raised in Gujarat, Dinal Patel is an American artist that draws inspiration from his multicultural experiences across Asia, Africa, and North America. His travels, including visits to 39 U.S. states and Canada, shape his artistic vision.
Education
He studied Abstract Art and Art History under Zbigniew Grzyb, a Poland-born American abstract painter and 2008 Pollock-Krasner Grant recipient, and completed his art education at Manchester Community College, CT, in 2011.
Artistic Approach
Specializing in abstract expressionism, his work embraces spontaneity, imperfection, and intuition. Using acrylic on canvas, he explores unfiltered moments, inviting viewers to engage in their own interpretations and perspectives.
